The rider reloads the canons held by the centaurs.
I'm so happy, a few days ago I wrote to Mikoyan that she should make pictures featuring those characters since 2014 is the year of the horse. He answered positively, and now he made that :)

Depends on what the task would be though.
The dirty secret of military cavalry is that the horse is treated as disposable. The general rule of thumb was to have 3 horses per rider for rotation purposes and gear/weapon/armor purposes. If a horse was wounded/killed, ditch it, run back to friendly lines and mount the backup, or backup-backup, horse.
