But digimon don't have a single evolutionary chain. It's both her mega forms, but Magnadramon appeared long before Ophanimon did.

In the US Dub they simply merged 3 Movies because in Japan they were shown together with other Short movies in the theaters. It wouldn't work outside of japan so they merged them and changed the plot.
The 3rd movie doesn't fit into Adventure 02's Plot and they mega evolve during the time when they are still unable to even Ultimate evolve. How they unlocked their Mega Evolutions wasn't explained either making this movie not canon. Since In the PSP game Hikari unlocked her mega evolution and it was ophanimon AND later said Canon, her Real mega evolution is Ophanimon.

I would agree on this evolution chain thing if it wasn't about a TV series where the most evolution chain decisions is between good and evil. Neither Ophanimon nor Magnadramon can be considered evil.

I've always liked the idea of them having dual mega forms, they can either digivolve into their Holy Dragon forms or their Angel forms.

And I thought Vikemon was Shakkoumon's mega form, and Plesiomon was Gomamon's mega, he even looks like Gomamon.

@IceToshiro: Vikemon is a Mega form for both Shakkoumon and Zudomon, actually. In fact, in order to get his card in DCB, (digital card battle) you have to fuse those 2 cards together to make him.
