Well that's kinda because heels are impractical for fighting in the first place. Sammy gets a pass in Smash Bros because the game is basically about indulgence in the first place, so who honestly cares, but yeah no fighting in heels is stupid if you want to be realistic about it.

I really hope Retro gets put in charge of saving the franchise because right now we're looking at 4 years of no Metroid and not even a hint of another to come ever since Other M butt-fucked the franchise with no exploration and trying to make ^THIS Samus it's poster girl... Christ, this is looking just like the 8 year drought following Super Metroid.
