I'm not. The original project leader for the series died in 97. That's why metroid vanished for nearly 10 years then came back really shitty.
Once the original makers of a game are gone, that's it. Anything made afterwards is at best an homage and at worst a series ruining ripoff. *coughothermcough*

I kinda don't want Nintendo to make a reboot of the series. :P
I'd like for them to continue with the current Metroid timeline, and maybe even introduce a game involving events after Fusion.
At the very least, I'd like a remake of either Metroid II: Return of Samus or Super Metroid
