Nah, I agree Kira didn't do the show justice. But I think Rei did have 2 episodes that were lacking.

The lot of you are wrong. Season 1 was excellent excluding the 5th arc (which was passable), but the visuals left alot to be desired. Kai bumped up the visuals to the point where it could be considered "decent" when compared to other anime at the time. It was extremely compelling for the first few episodes, but around halfway through (shortly after the main villian was revealed) the quality dropped exponentially. Rei was pretty good, nothing phenomenal but solid nonetheless. Kira was complete nonsense, with a weird artstyle to boot, but I've gotta admit It was pretty damn funny.

So yeah, I think I'm gonna shut up now >.>;
