Yup, viper 121, it seems like the case. And i have come to the conclusion that, the first monster lord gave humanity critical ecstasy so they could never become a real threat. Illias would not give us critical ecstasy because we were never a threat to her. So Ilias giving us critical ectasy does not make much sense...

To add to this: Illias whole goal was seducing us. Like every humanity to like her. That does not mean she would like quick to end humanity, in fact i would say the opposite. But the 1st at that time was neglected and so created monsters who not only would grow to look more human, but had the genes of critical ecstasy. So in conclusion, this gene (virus, intruder) would go into the human male, and when they would repopulate with a human female, that gene would have carried on... hence why they were born with it.

This new game is a spin-off of MGQ. Kind of like an alternate universe I suppose you could say.
But you should play through the other parts anyway in case this new thing has any callbacks or shoutouts to the previous games, which it should I would think.
