I think it's the same girl, looking at a younger version of herself. Probably a comment on how creative and inspired and imaginative we all feel when we're young, and trying to recapture that while carrying the scars of being an adult with to-dos, busywork, frustrations, and everything else that drags us down.

Or I could be looking into this wayyyy too deeply. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Actually, looking closer at those post-it on her back, I think that's it. When you're a kid, you do art for arts sake, but when you grow up and try to be an artist, you have people to please, commissions to do, files to manage, feedback to get, changes to make, etc etc. I'm not an artist but I imagine it can be really draining.

Talking as an artist... its not about doing art for arts sake as young one and growing up to face reality... Hes talking about how hard we actually work to become a professional and stay as one. Its also how we literally live paycheck to paycheck...

You know hes got his stuff straight when he draws in a smooth active area intuos.
