Supposedly Krystal is hated in Japan so she doesn't have a chance of being playable.

I'd rather have Wolf instead, but alas, he didn't make it in...

"Hated in Japan." Nah, not really. That's just some old-ass bullshit saying that was actually conjured up by Star Fox 64 loyalists.

Little Mac isn't liked in Japan, so that argument is relevant

@#1605210 - Yeah, it's good we got a copy paste of Pit instead. Dark Pit is the real abomination. Fuckin' wasted character.

All the hate comes those who are stuck in the 64 era. This character receives a lot hate for the dumbest reasons. The most common one being: "She ruined the Star Fox series." Why is that? Simply because she was introduced when the Star Fox series changed? Well, if that's the case, you might as hate Miyamoto then. It was his idea to change the Star Fox series. Even the language Krystal speaks at the beginning of Adventures was also Miyamoto's idea. So, yeah... it's asinine to get upset over a fictional character.

People are always quick to put the blame on something/someone else without knowledge of the background. These so-called fans need to do proper research on the history of Star Fox. Krystal is not to blame for the "downfall" of the series.

If you don't feel like looking up the facts, here's a vid sums up some of what talking about. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tYnT2HFbzw

@Bling7 It was also Miyamoto's idea to outsource the Star Fox franchise to a 3rd party developer for every installment to the series SINCE 1996.

I mean, you can't just write off so called "Star Fox 64 Loyalists" simply because you and many others think it is blind nostalgia. There are very well justified reasons for 64 being the best selling installment to the series---selling 4.3 million copies to be precise.
Simply put, the later Star Fox games lack vital elements to 64's success.

Star Fox: Adventures and Star Fox: Assault didn't even sell half of the amount 64 sold (www.vgchartz.com/gamedb/?name=Star+Fox). In addition to that, Star Fox: Assault was booed by viewers at E3 2003 when the trailer was revealed, and EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly) commented on it by saying that it looked "remarkably unimpressive." Everybody can agree that Shigeru's decision to re-brand Dinosaur Planet as "Star Fox" was a questionable decision given the genre.

I don't think fans hate Star Fox because of Krystal, nor do they think "she ruined the series." I believe it may be a possibility that people associate Krystal with furries, and as a result, they may become guilty by association because of the negative connotation the fandom bears.

Overall, this video review sums up my thoughts on the Star Fox series quite well. Rather than post a wall of text, I'll let the video explain for me.
