It doesn't go by hero or villain in Duodecim. Cloud, Terra, and Kain are all on the Chaos side, though Kain was a bit of a morality revolving door in FF4.

Actually Kain wasn't on the side of chaos he was just taking out his teammates so the cycle would restart and they would be healed and rested
