The nazis stole that symbol from the chinese monks. It was chinese long before it was nazi.

It's true. It was a holy symbol long before the Nazi's thought it would look good as their logo and ruining it forever.

Yep the Swastika is holy and mystical symbol thats found in ancient cultures all over the world. Think I'm bullshitting? I'd advise you go do some research and stop being ignorant. It pisses me off how ignorant most people are the truth behind swastikas. I blame the education systems, zero effort is made to stress the fact that nazi party wasn't the first to use it and that the symbol is only negative if its clearly connected to the nazi party.

Fun fact for all your Americans:
Before the 1930s the 45th Infantry Division of the US Army had a Swastika as their division symbol. It was tribute to the large Native American population in the southwestern United States which is where the 45th called home. Some old veterans of the 45th still wear the original symbol (as they should the swastika shouldn't be shadowed by the 3rd Reich its been around much longer and has to much meaning to be snuffed out due to its being used by a historically hated group).
From an ironic point of view the US Army was wearing a swastika into battle years before the Germans did. Obviously after the Nazi's made it their official mark and the relationship between the US and German soured the symbol was changed to image a Thunderbird which also paid homage to the Native Americans.

Fun fact FROM an American (that's right...fuck you, anon1627545) -

The 94th Pursuit Squadron used an indian head insignia in the pre-war years, which also has a swastika in it. Didn't think an American would know that, did ya?

Do us a favor...don't assume that just because people are having a fit about seeing a swastika they must be American. I should point out that some eastern European countries still don't like the fact Germany still calls it's air force 'Luftwaffe'. Symbolism leave deep scars anywhere and everywhere, regardless of the historical perspective prior to gaining such a reputation.

My post doesn't say anything about me assuming Americans are the only ones who lose their shit when they see a Swastika.
Sure I signaled Americans out for the fun fact but thats because said fact was about an American Army Division which means obviously the info would have the most relevance to Americans no? It was just a fun fact nothing negative about it so I'm shocked by your response.
Your hostility towards me is unwarranted and unjust (Please do yourself a favor and next time read the comment carefully before you just fly off the handle and attack someone over BS you made up in your own mind). Seriously read my comment again and tell me where am I directly harping on Americans about being first rate Swastika fit throwers. In case thats to much work for you I'll make things clear right now, there is none.
I am same person who posted in anon 1627545

Wow didn't expect to learn something new around here, cool. I will admit I was one of those people who always assumed the swastika was of Nazi origin only. Thanks for making me less ignorant.
