This is sad. I'll admit that I lost a lot of interest in this manga, but it was still good and I did love it at one point. Another ended manga to add to the list.

Indeed, it started out good, then went downhill after a while.

Never lost interest in Naruto.

That would be because i never bothered with the anime and i started this manga on the day the draft was published. I also bothered to follow Kishimoto's reasons whilst others i observed never even bothered to say "condolences for the loss of your father" but stuck with "man this chapter sucks".

I've also understood the reasons he spoke of, why he gave Naruto a meeting with his parents, how his own personal life and reaching parenthood changed his perspective on his creation enormously.

IMO people should fucking drop the anime and read the manga and bother at least once in their life to do some background checks and learn the language, it's not the hardest considering the age group Naruto is aimed at in Japan. It's not Chinese. FFS.

In all honesty the Manga is pretty damn good. Sure it might have some plotholes here and there, but it always had a consistent quality to its art, to its scenarios and especially the fights. Overall, despite its problems, it always kept me interested in seeing what's going to happen next.

The anime though is the real stinker since it butchers so many battles (Remember Naruto against Pain?), character personalities and it brings an even bigger assload of plotholes thanks to all that dreadful filler.
And that's not getting to all that pointless shipping gibberish...

Even if you're not a Naruto fan, 15 years is nothing short of remarkable. Most TV shows in America don't even last that long anymore.

Reminds me of the Character select from DBZ Budokai.
