Sakura is a poorly written character, definitely, but I wouldn't say that she was the worst. And by worst, does it have to be by the way that character is developed, personality, or decisions, or all three? The first two are subjective, especially the second.

Personally, I think that a character's bad development in this story is directly proportional to how much attention they receive. In this case, Sakura is not even the worst-developed, although Kishimoto took an enormous dump on her character.

Read her hiden prologue. (spoilers)

She founded a clinic for Children (mostly fosters from the war).

I don't think she is a poorly written character to be honest. I respect your opinion but Sakura isn't badly written. Misunderstood? Yes. I never been more inspired by a character. She helped me get a back bone. When in love you are weak but you can make that weakness your strong hold. She took that weakness and made it her strive to move forward. And if you are going to laugh at her for being in love with a bad character or forgiving Sasuke (like Naruto did) but yet if a male character did the same, wouldn't you love his character for it? Ex: Kirito, Renton Thurston and so many more. I believe Sakura is a amazing woman and strong as hell for not letting go of Sasuke, to burden so much hurt (JUST LIKE NARUTO).

Hinata is the poorly written character.
