Y'know, I think this is one of the major problems with Resident Evil. All the characters, when they see some new bio-weapon/zombie/infected they're usually like "Man, one of these, these're so annoying." They're all too used to the scene. They need some new blood in the series (not mercenaries or BSAA, much as I like all the BSAA characters they've added). I still say RE: The Mercenaries could be spun off into it's own sub-series or even it's own alternate continuity separate from the original universe really easily, then they could do survival horror and buddy co-op without sacrificing for either one.
