Pretty much any fairly long running anime with the "absurdly borderline ecchi" formula get annoying after a while. Not just because they're a cocktease, but also because of how predictable they are.

It's not even that. The manga held a great reputation of being incredibly hot in many different ways (using different fetishes and such) and then after he started dating his teacher, the ecchi foundation that the manga was born on just isn't there anymore. It's gotten rather boring with nothing interesting going on
