Not if you bothered to talk with the Doll and contemplated the dismal existential situation the Bloodborne humanity finds itself in.


Spoiler: Eldritch gods run the show. Humans are trapped in the neverending nightmare, whose creators do not care about them at all.
And yet humans themselves learned to breathe life into matter, for their own purposes.
"You're welcome to use whatever you find. Even the doll, should it please you."
Are they better as "gods" for their creations? Because the latter silently long for their love.
