If the girl is hot/sexy/likable enough, it happens pretty often during the first few episodes at least. Whether or not it keeps up is the question.

Like Gundam Build Fighters Try, for example. Fanarts of Fumina just exploded early on, but then kind of tapered off. On the other hand, fanarts of Aila from the previous Build Fighters series were pretty steady to the end after her introduction.
