Actually, Disney doesn't ALWAYS have the main characters get in a romantic relationship. I site Gravity Falls- as no one became a couple there despite there being a chance for one legit one.

Not only that but take another show, Kim Possible. The only reason Kim and Ron ever got together was because, by the people who worked on its own admissions, was, to paraphrase "because of the fans saying they should be a couple." They planned on keeping it a friendship until they noted the fans wanted them together and, thinking they were going to be cancelled during the third season, thought, "Y'know, they DO make a cute couple. So, why not?"
