Is this from a TV episode or a special? I know Pokemon's production values have continually multiplied, but the notion of 90 degree camera spins in this show is beyond me.

I'm pretty sure that Ash did the exact same thing at the beginning of XY when Pikachu fell off a building and he jumped off to save him. I've never seen a 10 year old so suicidal in my life. I mean I guess he himself knows how much plot armor he has so he can afford to be reckless all he wants and not come out crispy fried :P.

And people say Ash is a crap trainer. Pft, he's a caring loving 10/10 trainer. A little on the crazy side but only a trainer with a heart of gold would go running into a volcano to save his falling Pokemon.

This is STUPID! I mean, I could MAYBE understand trying to cusheon a fall on the ground, but he's just jumping into the lava. It's not like he pushed them both over a ledge...this is just trying to have the lava take two lives. It's not slowing down the fall so that others might be able to help...it's simply suicide.

And there is a difference between being brave and being suicidal and stupid. That difference is risking a lot for a chance, and throwing your life at certain death.
