Anon 1, I was just about to say the same. Did I miss some hints of their relationship in the final chapters of the manga or is this entirely fan-driven.

Fan driven @anon 2. Probably has to do with how she constantly challenged him on his decisions and how she would try to take control of situations involving all the kage. That would explain why so many of these pics involve him dominating her rather than the other way around.
