If you look at the other orangey images from him.. Cap'n gave the octoling and inkling couple a baby. It slept in bed with them.. and one night it started nibbling on the octy's tentacles, then actually latching onto her out of bed.. so they cut a tentacle and let her have it.. and she developed cross-genetics of the octoling. The eye marks, and suckers on top, as well as the longer cosmetic tentacles in back that curl

The artist also has a set of doodles with an inkling boy and a more mature octoling/takozonesu that apparently thinks the boy is "bloody nose" cute and ends up with him.

Another doodle shows the four of them.
Octolings are connected and it looks like "aquaintance", same with the inklings.
Then the girl inkling has "?" toward the octoling, while the octoling has a heart going back at her, so "not sure?" and "love the inkling", pretty much.. while the inkling boy and octoling gal both have hearts.. he has one for her, and she has three for him.. so she REALLY loves all over him

Oi Josuke, i used Za Hando to mix the DNA of a inkling and an octoling, and it generated a beautiful hybrid. Isn't that wacky?
