It's more like a reincarnation title at this point. So if Link is Linkle, how different is it?

It is canonically a reincarnation.

Meanwhile, Linkle may have been conceived as an official "Female Link", but in-universe she's a separate character. It's only selfcest from a meta-standpoint, which I don't think counts.

Nope. I fully agree with Angel_Blade2. She is just a gender swap of Link, kind of like the main characters for Persona 3 no matter how much both Tecmo-Koei and Nintendo want to deny it. Also instead of coming up with a female Link why not give Princess Zelda her own GOOD game?
