It's their art- their hours spent making it.
It doesn't really matter if the sexy character was someone else's- it doesn't really impact the overall quality of the work or how hard it was to make or how aesthetically pleasing it is or how sexy it is. It just makes it a big more recognizable.

If it was their own character or if the owner requested it then I'd be fine with it but I think in cases like this the revenue should be shared 50/50 between the owner and the artist. Sorceress is only the sex symbol she is because George Kamitani decides to go balls-to-the-wall with everything he does. He should get half. Is there even any solid proof this R3ydart guy has ever even bought a Vanillaware game?
