gelbooru tried to extract canvas data from my computer through my browser when i loaded this page.
image data is different from tracking cookies. image data creates a finger print of your PC by asking your computer to draw an invisible image real quick. the image is sent back to the owners of the website and a computer finger print is revealed which shows everything running on your pc, operating system, hard drive, graphics card, ram, everything, its much worse than tracking cookies and gets around cookie blocking with ease.
its very sneaky and very suspicious that gelbooru is attempting to secretly identify everyone who visits this website.
i expect this comment to be deleted in about a day by the moderator or admins.
anyone who is using canvas printing to track visitors doesn't want the visitor to know that canvas extraction is being used.
if you're reading this and the comment hasn't been deleted yet then your computer has most likely been finger printed, you need look into ways to block canvas data.
with half the shit that's on this website i wouldn't be surprised if the FBI or NSA was behind the canvas printing; gelbooru might have no idea its going on, its that sneaky.
