I would prefer to think that Chara is making Flowey do the Cinnamon Challenge.. Makes it seem a lot more innocent.. or torturous depending on your perspective.

Personally, I prefer the idea that Flowey's getting forcefed one of the things plants actively need to live; Fertilizer. So the little shit's being forced to eat shit.

... That's the idea I'd prefer, anyway, but I'm almost entirely certain Fertilizer can't behave all sand-like like in this picture.

They both are technically innocent, Chara was being controlled (Literally) by hate. Flowey (Asriel) was being controlled by... Something. But none the less they both were.
