In case anyone cares, Hibari is the only son of a Yakuza family. The patriarch of the family is in constant risks of having heart attacks for his son's tendencies and he sees a white alligator as representation of the nearing death.
It's a funny 70' (?) trap romcom.

Correction: Hibari is the DAUGHTER of a yakuza boss. It is literally a critical plotpoint of the story that she is a girl but her father refuses to acknowledge her as one. She is explicitly trans in the anime.
