Can someone tell me why this is downvoted so much? I think it's pretty well drawn!

Narutard hate?

It's probably because of Tsunade's fingers, though -25 seems a bit harsh just because of that.

Also, why is this tagged "Interracial"? The Raikage is just tanned, he's not of a different race.

Several Tsunade/Raikage pics are heavily downvoted, and at least one intensely racist comment was deleted from this pic or one of its variations.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the downvotes are not due to any reason so lofty as art critique.

That's stupid. The Raikage isn't black, he's the same race as the other characters (AKA magic anime Japanese that looks European).

He doesn't have the body shape, bone structure or hair type of a black. You could literally paint him pink and he'd look the same as any other character. He's not a black.

Yeah, it's definitely stupid. But when you're willing to judge people solely on the color of their skin, you're probably not very good at things like logic and reason anyway.

"Sex between people of two different races, primarily determined by skin color"
Gelbooru's working definition since 5 years ago.

It is contrasted with the tag "dark-skinned_male" which involves two Japanese people, whereas "interracial" does not specify which group is getting it on. That is why most instances of dark male x light female, light male x dark female passes under interracial. Skin color is the primary factor.

Consider that in Naruto, Raikage is just as "ambigiously black", as Naruto is "ambigiously white", yet Naruto x Hinata (who I suppose is "ambigiously asian") is not tagged as interracial. Here's a question: Is Rock x Revy from Black Lagoon interracial? No. Both are Asian. Is Revy x Dutch interracial? Yes, Dutch is African American.
And lastly, is Benny x Revy interracial? Technically yes, Benny is Jewish, but both are light skinned so it's less likely to get tagged as such. This applies across the board.

I hope this demonstrates how the tag is used.

Revy is Chinese-American, so she's half-asian.

But whatever, the tagging on this site is still kinda all over the place regardless.

Wow, my comment really got earmarked, didn't it. I get over 10 downvotes in just one day, but not only that, I even get reported? For what? Being right on the mark? Pfft. Can't stand a certain shipping? Just downvote it. Can't stand people highlighting your actions? Just downvote and report it. Me me me me. I don't like it. Nobody should. Waah waah. How very sad.
