The chemicals aren’t fatal, they simply cause chemical dependency if ingested. If you ingest a large enough amount, you’ll be unable to survive without it. That’s how bubble slimes get men to stay with them, since they aren’t very adhesive, move slowly and you can smell them from a mile away...
