A very unusual piece of art. This rear-view of Nadia, swimming towards the imposing Nautilus, makes her second only to the submarine, the real subject of the picture. It is quite clear the motivation for this drawing was to experiment on light plays underwater. The result is gorgeous & awe-inspiring. What I find most intriguing is the depiction of the surface, layered with opaque dark blue & transparent waters.
