Your gifs/webms aren't causing the problems, the problems are the handful of people who feel like things shouldn't exist if they personally don't like them. Cosplay is allowed here, there's no reason to delete these.

From what i've gathered, the main fear from non-jap content is the fear of original authors coming at the site with an angry mood, with copyright issue attempts for some (despite the content being already freely available most of the time), i think that's how some content end up marked as deleted despite having no controversial theme. But since you came by and said you're fine with it, well... Pretty sure many visitors will be happy. ;)
