@Anon0236: Nah, #9847's got the right of it. In the original version, she was all over women. Then the leaks and the controversy over her support with the MC ran amok, and it got adapted out into a like of cute things in general.

As for why the Japanese version had her drooling over the girls but only supporting with the boys- that's just a weird cultural thing with Japan; They generally believe homosexuality to be "just a phase". So it's kinda cute, but they don't expect it to last. In their minds, Soleil is just doing her thing, but will eventually grow out of it and get a man as they expect her to.

even if japan's "homosexuality is just a phase" thing (which was MASSIVELY oversimplified here) WAS what they intended for Soleil, that wouldn't change the fact she's ALSO (clearly) attracted to dudes, seeing as she can, in fact, marry them.

NoA making all her relationships except Korinui (what do you want) and the trap suddenly platonic was JUST as much a fuckup as Soleil not being able to go for fem Korinui.

TLDR this is a great character that neither side of the pacific managed to handle right, Japan by not going far enough and NoA by going too far.
