And shit talk sfx all you want, at least Toho actually has the balls to show their admitidly lower SFX in board daylight while Legendary hides multi-million dollars worth of SFX behind rain, fog, darkness and cut aways. in 4 minutes of trailers we've seen more action and dynamic shots for Toho's reboot than 2 hours of Legendary's film.

Really? Didn't you see the featurette of the classic media gojira dvd? This is one of the few intended designs that toho studios considered back in 1954 but never realized since the budget is limited that they have to go back the drawing board which in the end, produced the iconic design of the 1954 Godzilla we knew today.

I was excited for the 2014 Godzilla, and was sorely disappointed with the direction it took. I am cautiously hopeful for Shin Gojira, as I really dig the design. Godzilla should look horrifying, being the result of nuclear weapons and all. An immortal monster living out eternity in agonizing pain due to mankind's folly is a side of the series I wish they'd show more of.
