I honestly don't get that mindset. This adaptation is just that - an adaptation. If you don't like it that's fine, but why would that impact your opinion of the source material? The manga still exists. This show can't change a thing about the manga, it can only ruin itself.

Listen, I was one of those people telling others to stop bitching about the cg in the movies and buy them. If you want better, put your money where your passion is. But, everyone said screw that, and just torrented. That means that the potential market that they saw in the west was smaller, and the revenue from the movie releases wasn't as big as it could have been... Meanwhile, to do even a portion of what needs to get covered, 24 episodes is what is needed, and 24 episodes is what we're getting. Typical seasons now are 12 episodes, so that means they're stretching the budget to DOUBLE the work. Here we have a 24 episode series that fans didn't support last time they had a chance, and now they're whining that it isn't better. Things cost money, folks, money that they need to get from sales from you. So remember those who complained about the (relatively) tiny amount of cg in the movies? Congrats THIS IS YOUR FAULT. Besides, the animation is getting progressively better by the episode, and I can get past looks because at least it feels like Berserk and exposes more people to the series.

Unfortunately most ppl don't actually understand how difficult the Anime industry is. And it doesn't help that we live in the Age of Entitlement.
