Cleverly funny. The mechanics in the Yo-kai Watch games heavily foucs on giving a Yo-kai it's "favorite food" to befriend them.

With that said, this image is now self-explanatory.

While all the Yo-kai have a favorite food, they also have a least-favorite, which is what I think they're being given. The least-favorite gives either zero or negative points toward getting them to join you, so in a way this really is a pile of failed dates.

I know Everfore likes milk (being given Chili Shrimp) and Insomni likes candy (being given a carrot and cucumber), so pretty sure these are the least-favorites.
