Pokemon Origins and Generations is amazing,but they need to flesh both of those out...Or possibly flesh out Legend of Thunder...I wanna see what Gold and Crystal get up to.

Ash isn't just going to sit in the classroom all the time. He'll interacting with his classmates (Lillie and Trial Captains) and exploring.

It's just that the games don't have any Gyms or a League this time around, so the anime writers had to come up with something.

Yeah bare in mind that their are no Gyms or even a League in Alola in the games in the first place, so they have to come up with SOMETHING.
