i don't mean to bum anyone out about the sweet shot, but what do you wanna bet that those are kiritsugu's ashes in that urn in the upper right?

As I recall he's actually buried. Unlimited blade works has a scene where taiga is visiting a grave where she speaks to Kiritsugu, it's where Caster kidnaps her.

Now the grave could be a more ornamental thing, with no actually body in it. I'm no Japanese customs professor or anything, so I can't say for certain.

Point is, there's definitely a grave. Not sure why youd have one of you just gonna keep the remains in an urn.

My mother was cremated. She also has a grave. Some of her ashes were put into an urn in the grave, and some of them were distributed to immediate family members.

IIRC in Japan people are generally cremated instead of buried due to how little land is really left. Though I may be wrong in that regard.

Thats pretty enlightening @Jerl & @ Warellis, but just in case it should be noted this is Kalied Liner, and I believe Irisviel, and the servants mention that Kiritsugu is away on business. Now that could just be a family trying to keep the truth from a little girl, but even Shirou seems to think Kiritsugu is just out of the house...

Again, not saying it's not him, if this were UBW or F/Z I would be 100% on board, but from what I recall of this anime, both parents are alive, just "just". Thats why everyone is so shocked when momma grail comes home...

I don't think we'll SEE Kiritsugu either, since I'm certain there's some meta plot going on in the background, behind all the loli porn, so if my hunch is correct he won't appear in person. Still though, almost positive hes alive in liner, it's just the "absentee dad" trope, because if he were around, probs would be Commander Anti-Loli incest/selfcest, and there goes half the plot.

Was so pissed when this happened. I thought there was going to be another episode since shirou said he was going to explain from the beginning, but noooo we got shit

@Anon: This is Miyu's world's Shirou & Kiritsugu. You're talking about Fate/Kaleid's world.

@wellis: Exactly.

I don't know why people are having such a hard time remembering that the Fate series seems to run on multiverse theory.

A prime example are the STRONG hints that this series' Gil(gamesh) is probably the same one that got his ass kicked in UBW.

@4366Downs Partially right, Heroic Spirits exist outside of time and by extension, the multiverse. Servants (and the HS in the class cards) are copies of the HS in the Throne of Heroes and after the servant dies the experiences return to the original, so they both are and are not the same Gilgamesh.

Fate lore is fucking confusing.
