The ability has its use; it allows the brute to quickly retreat, and then come back in to exploit its very powerful first-turn-only priority attack, First Impression.

Yeah it does have it's use. Through they could've given it a alternate ability.

I really wanna try out Golisopod in one of my playthroughs. Wimpod is basically the Donny of Pokemon imo: starts off hella weak, then evolves into one of the best units in the game.
