Fun fact; Corsola and Mareanie/Toxapex can breed, despite the latter mercilessly preying on the former.

Fun fact, the Corsolas that are preyed upon my Mareanie/Toxapex usually survive their encounters, as the Mareanie/Toxapex only breaks off the branches. Those branches can regenerate fully within three hours.

Yeah but it still hurts the Corsola tho, theirs a scene in the game right near Kukui's lab in which a Corsola was in a lot of pain do to a Mareanie attack.

I thought the pain was just mental, as in it's just shocking to the Corsola when it happens.

^ You're correct, anon 4.
During that scene, the NPC states that Mareanie's snacking does not hurt the Corsola, but the experience is frightening to them nonetheless.

Pretty sure its Mareanie who only eats the back parts. Toxapex seems much more brutal and likely to be crunching on them much more lethally if the rotomdex
who may or may not be screwing with you and Wicke are anything to go by.

^ Yeah, Toxapex's 'dex entry is up for debate. "Corsola bits" is a bit vague; it could be bits of branches, or it could be bodily remains.
Innocent until proven guilty.

^ One of the Aether Foundation people straight-up says that Corsola is endangered due to Toxapex predation, so I'd say guilty regardless of what Rotomdex says.
