The twitter video is much higher quality. Downloading it seems to lower the quality for some reason.

I tried a couple websites and a chrome extension which all ended up in same (low) quality as this upload. JDownloader seems to find the HQ version.

I didn't use any extensions or downloaders. (Google Chrome)
Just go to the mobile version of the page (add "mobile." at the beginning of the URL), press F12 to open the Chrome Inspector (go to Network tab), and play the video. It'll show up in the Inspector and you can just open it in a new tab and save that. Should work in Firefox as well.

Thanks for the tip, I actually found an even more efficient way thanks to it. You right click the video on the mobile version of twitter and choose "Save video as", same end result but easier.
