Ahh, I see what you mean. Kind of like how Corrin isn't exactly a real character either huh? But the way I see it is like this; Robin is indeed a real character, and not just our avatar. In fact, he (or she) is a very defined character just like the rest of the FE:A cast just as much as Laurent is. He's/She's Chroms best friend and maintains a good relationship with the people in the army (since he has supports with everyone). Robin himself/herself is really essentially their own character and not so much as a blank slate. The only real change that us, the players, can make is the name, appearance, skills, who we choose to marry, etc. Other than that, the avatar does have their own personality and is a real character. You could even say that they're the 2nd main character in the game beside Chrom. I mean, why else would Fire Emblem give us the default name Robin anyway?

Finally a Robin shipper with some sense. I guess I get your point but I still think it's wrong. All of Robin's dialogue is so generic because they didn't want him to have a defined personality. Laurent also has a greater connection to her since he's one of the future children and has a big role in the Future Past chapters. Sorry but you can't change my mind, LaurentXLucina IS canon to me and I won't accept anything else. Thanks for not getting triggered like the others though, you're alright by me.
