Yup, Lyn was quite the first impression to Western fans, so she has staying power. Nevertheless, up until Awakening there was never that waifu simulator element. Sure, you can pair them up and they marry, but Mark got ignored as FE7 got more serious, and despite having S rank in the Epilogue, you still don't marry anyone, the Lords thank you but that's it, it was never YOU AND LYN FUCKED, DOESNT IT FEEL GREAT?
The waifu/husbando elements in Awakening and Fates are horrible, not to mention the fluff that can't make you take the games seriously.
Sure, let's fuck off to another dimension with modern beaches and festivals while our lands are ravaged by war.
