Really glad to see more Mipha pictures. I was starting to think no cared about her.
Her story is really sad and I am kind of shocked on how heavy handed Nintendo went with her and Link's relationship. I like it and I hope they do more of this in the future.

Here I thought I'd never see another Zora character that genuinely adored Link in the actual game until Breath of the Wild was released.
If I'm understanding correctly, Mipha seemed to spend a lot of time with this Link in her 'childhood' (Zoras age slower than Hylians).

Link's past has always been a bit of mystery, but they really went all out in this.
Sadly the only reason this isn't at the for front is because of this whole shipping BS. I don't care about who Link shakes up with; Hell I write the bastard with Lighting form FF13 so I don't care.
But it still bugs me that, with such a sympathetic character, whose closer to Link then Zelda, no one what's to give her the time of day because of the LinkXZelda thing. Ugh, If I wasn't so busy with work I could do my own fan art and writing....

But in reality, everybody knew from the beginning that the was the hero. If they hadn't built up how close they got later on in the memories, there would definitely be more of this shipping as compared to Zelda.

I mean, the only reason anybody can ship them, is because of the memories. At first, Zelda could barely stand the sight of him even though he was the "chosen" knight. But in reality, everybody knew from the beginning that the was the hero. If they hadn't built up how close they got later on in the memories, there would definitely be more of this shipping as compared to Zelda.

I honestly think the Zelda and Link fans, the more insane ones, are going a little over board. There enough games in the series where those two could be considered a couple. Hell skyward sowrd slapped you in the face with it. And the whole wind waker line said that yes, Tatra had Link’s kids and then some.
They don't need ANOTHER game with them being a couple. It's not going to kill em. And You can ‘ship’ both. It's not like Link, or any guy, is going to say no to many women wanting to love him. Heck, guy like him needs it with all the shit him and his blood line goes through.
And Link is a silent protagonist. While he has character, he is still meant to be a part of the player. Which is why we NEVER see him kiss, or say I love you anyone. Implied romances yes, Like Mipha, Zelda, Midna and others, but nothing you can't argue against or for. (Although for girls like Mipha and Midna, you’re going to have a very hard time when Link has A. know them longer and C. doesn’t feel awkward around Zelda.) They do that so YOU can create your OWN story. Not to bash people over the head with your ideals and be a prick about it.
It may because Zelda has a LOT of female fans for a game that has a male lead. I am not saying it’s their fault, there are just as many guys doing this nonsense too. But I think the simple but cute idea of the hero and the princess is just very romantic to them. While I do find it boring, that just because, as a writer, you don’t want to use clichés that much or at all. And if you do, it must be in a way no one is going to expect.
Or I don't what I am talking about and this whole thing is utterly silly.
You should just like what you like without someone jumping down your neck for it.
The whole thing is ridiculous. Although still not as odd as the whole Sidon thing.
Look, while I like the guy too, I just don't get it. He just acts like Link's supportive young bother.
Can someone explain that one to me because I don't get it

I for one can't be as accepting of that ship. Contextually it just comes off as Link using Sidon as a replacement for Mipha, because they look alike. I mean honestly who would date the sibling of their deceased fiance? Thats just horrible.

It seems easily evident that not all Zelda games push the LinkXZelda as much. Different Link and Zelda have different relationships. Twilight Princess Link and Zelda were the most casual (maybe?) friends ever.
But Skyward Sword Link and Zelda practically married at the end.
