Anon, yeah, I can see that being possible... but in actualty, Geisha prostitutes would have the cloth wrapped around them (forgot what it is called) and have it tied in the front. Intended for ease of removal, and served as a symbol of a "working girl."

Geisha had theirs wrapped around the back, as they *technically* weren't prostitutes--not that they didn't fuck dudes for money and favors, but it was rude to suggest they did. Out loud.

Oiran, on the other hand, had theirs tied in the front. They were entirely comfortable with being prostitutes, since it afforded them a level of comfort and wealth (and even, possibly, education) they probably wouldn't have otherwise had.
