They just revealed a new book related to the series. They are likely busy with that. Also each MGE book is 100 monsters so that likely needs to be planned out for third book.

I don't think he really plans out the 100 girls in advance. That said, he /is/ working on a new book. The 3rd volume in the "World Guide" spin-off, intended to be focused on the Magic of the setting, as well as lolis.

It was intended for a summer 2017 release, but got pushed back to Winter instead.
