I felt like it was a pretty weak entry which sucks because it's the first in a trilogy and the first Godzilla anime. Hopefully Parts 2 and 3 will be much stronger.

True, the first film left me wanting a bit more but at least it's a good start for the upcoming films to hopefully pick up the story more.
