Fairly decent reference for Meiji uniforms, but the way this artist draws the hats sitting loosely like this bothers me (I follow him on Pixiv and he does all the hats this way). Military hats do NOT sit on the tippy top of the head like that. He draws the hats like they have no interior and are completely solid on the inside. IJA hats all come down the sides of the head (I own several for reenacting purposes).

More correctly speaking, it'd come down to about her eyebrow level or slightly above there. It's usually supposed to be slightly lower than the tips of your ears.
