I agree. Rape is a turn-off, but the art and scenarios are very good other than that.
Worse still, the traumatisation is a focal point of the series, and a stated goal of the protagonist, making it impossible to ignore or interpret it differently.
Altogether I rate it 8/10 with a -5 penalty for rape.
