My 2 cents on this ship:

It exists simply because of the cliche trope "asshole who's actually a good guy" which Bakugou falls in, and as Ochako interacts more with him she realizes this.

And even though she's "in love" with Midoriya, she eventually gets tired of getting polarized by the other girls whenever she tries to make a move with him, gives Bakugou a chance and they realize they compliment each other.


TL;DR
Ochako is pure while Bakugou is corruption in the flesh. Simply put, opposites attract.

Why put big ideas into Ochako's head, if they're not gonna happen?

Objectively, I hate this ship.

But I love the fantasy designs for these characters so much that I'll overlook that. Maybe in the fantasy alt-version Berserkago has a bit more personality?

It's so stupid when people say "awww I ship this because if you read the manga". Bullshit bitch. I read the manga and outside of their fight during the tournament they have pretty much no interactions at all. Only bakugo fans are into this bullshit just because they know one day deku is going to beat his ass once he has ahold of his quirk. Ship bakugo with kirishima. That one makes more sense anyway.
