I get that they wanted to de-sexualize Skarlet. But they didn't need to completely change her hair and remove any ninja influence from her costume. RIP this design.

You better cover those girls up before you mutilate, disembowel and brutalize them in horrificly creative ways. You wouldn’t want to offend or upset anyone with a excessive and gratuitous amount of skin because the last thing Mortal Kombat wants to be considered as is excessive or gratuitous.

All joking aside, you could probably get something close to this with modifiers or customizations. So they make a little extra money from people who want it like it was without unwanted sexism allegations that could push away new potential buyers, you can’t really use sex to sell anymore. It’s probably why the latest DOAX doesn’t really get pushed in North America and the latest DOA trailers had their girls covered up considerably. You can’t even enjoy escapist entertainment anymore without being made to feel like you’re a pig or something.

I hope they cover up Shao Kahn with his stupid chest and nipples. As a guy, I find that offensive and sexist.
