I personally would have loved the idea that if another time machine came around it’d be someone other than Trunks this coming out of it this time. Like future Pan, Bra or Goten. Or hell maybe a timeline where Future Gohan survived since he’s easily the coolest version of Gohan and makes the current one look like a pathetic loser despite all his power boosts and advantages. They could have a bigger time machine that can fit more people into it if they really wanted to.
