That's not Hatsune Miku, Black Rock Shooter is a separate character, there aren't the same person

I don't blame Anon1 for making that mistake though. When I first saw pics of BRS, I thought it was Miku in an alternate costume/appearance too. It's not really helped by the copious amount of images putting them in the same picture.

Black Rock Shooter is a Hatsune Miku song, and that's where the connection comes from. I think the song may have been based on the character but I'm not sure if Miku influenced the design at all. As far as the PV goes, it is kind of an alternate version of Miku but in the OVA she's a totally different person.
